Endau-Rompin State Park 兴楼－云冰国家公园

Endau-Rompin State Park is one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests existences for over one million year. This ancient tropical rainforest has remained undisturbed in its original state through the years. The park spreads over a generous 31,797 hectares of origin jungle straddling the state of Pahang and Johor. It offers a wide spectrum of activities for the adventurous visitors providing the opportunity to get back to nature and experience the hidden and mysterious secrets of its wilderness.

SABAH 沙巴

Crocker Range National Park 克洛克山脉国家公园

Crocker Range National Park is situated in the rugged Crocker Range. It covers an area of more than 139,919 hectares of densely forested terrain. Visitors will be rewarded by numerous floras and fauna, like Rafflesia, Orang Utan and gibbons.

克洛克山脉国家公园位于克洛克山脉。它的面积超过139,919公顷，涵盖了一大片的密集树木。访客将看到许多花草树木与动物，如莱佛士花、人猿和长臂猿等。

Sarawak 砂拉越

Niah National Park & Niah Caves 尼亚国家公园 & 尼亚洞

Situated northeast of Sarawak and approximately 80km away from Miri, the Niah National Park is world famous for its archaeological caves. In 1974, the Sarawak government designated the Niah Caves as a national park. The reserve covers an area of 3,102 hectares of forest and limestone. It is home to more than a hundred big and small caves.

Gunung Subis, the highest peak here and stands at 390 metres tall dominates the landscape. The archeological team from the Sarawak Museum discovered bones and artifacts that proved the cave once sheltered human life some 40,000 years ago. The famous Painted Cave, which spans over 11 hectares, is another highlight of the visit to Niah. Here, little human-like figures drawn in red hematite watch over a graveyard where bodies of the dead lay in boat-shaped coffins.

The Niah Caves and Painted Caves have been listed as conservation areas and are protected by legislation to safeguard Malaysia’s precious heritage. In addition, the Niah Caves are popular for its bird’s nests, an expensive delicacy for people in the east particularly the Chinese. Local Penan tribesmen climb the caves to collect the edible nests of the swiftlets.

Gunung Murud

Gunung Murud is situated at the very north of the Tama Abu mountain range on the northeast of Sarawak. Its foothill extends all the way to Kalimantan, Indonesia. Standing tall at 2,423 metres above sea level, it is the tallest summit in Sarawak and the fourth tallest peak in Malaysia. East of the Tama Abu mountain range is the Kelabit Highlands – a vast flat land that sits 1000 metres above sea level. In this tribal heartland lies Bario where most indigenous Kelabits live in longhouses. The average temperature here is a about 20°C. Sometimes, however, it can go down below 10°C. To enjoy the magnificence of the mountain range and the surrounding areas, one should either hike or fly there.

Gunung Murud，坐落于沙拉越东北部 Tama Abu山脉的最北端。山脚延伸至印尼境内的加里曼丹。海拔2,423米高的顶峰使她成为砂拉越的第一高峰，也是马来西亚的第四高峰。Tama Abu 山脉的东部就是 Kelabit 高原，这是一处于海拔1千米高的大平原。Bareo 则是此高原的中心地带，她的平均温度约 10°C 至最低温可达20°C 以下。如果您想到此山脉享受纯朴的大自然景色，一般只有搭乘飞机或是步行了。

Batang Ai National Park 芭当艾国家公园

Located upriver of the Batang Ai Lake, is a nature park inhabited by wild Orang Utan, gibbons and hornbills. There are several traditional Iban longhouses adjacent to its area. There are also beautiful lakes, mountain ranges and vast plains here. All one can see here is green which can liberate both heart and mind. Besides all these, visitors can enjoy all sorts of outdoors activities, such as juggle trekking, visiting the nearby longhouses, fishing, canoeing, touring the oil palm, pepper and rubber estates; or you can even go to the nearby Sri Aman city for a tour. You can also enjoy the wilderness here while pampering yourself within the comforts of Batang Ai Hilton Longhouse Resort, probably the first and only longhouse resort in this region.

Talang-Satang National Park 踏浪－莎潭国家公园

Between May and October every year, green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs at the beaches of these islands. The island and their surrounding waters are protected as a sanctuary for the turtles. Pulau Satang Besar is opened to the public while visits to the Talang-Satang Islands will require special permit from the authorities.

Taiping Lake Garden 太平湖公园

Taiping Lake is one of the biggest and most beautiful parks in Malaysia. Those very old angsana trees spread around the lake have been providing shade places for residents to rest. Thus it is very comfortable to walk around the lake where you would not feel heat at all. Taiping Lake is a good place for jogging in the morning. You may also want to row the boat in the lake to have a feel of kissing by the gently breeze and shower by the warn sunlight!

Temenggor Lake 天孟峨湖

The largest man-made lake in Perak which located approximately 35km to the north-east of Gerik and covering an area of 15,200 hectares. Visitors expecially nature lovers will be fascinated by its beauty and tranquility together with its diversity of flora and fauna. It is also home to a variety of freshwater fishes like baung, tenggalan and kelah; make it a perfect getaway for fishing enthusiasts. Pulau Cendana is an island in this lake.

KEDAH 吉打

Pedu Lake 柏鲁湖

The Pedu Lake is located about 90km from Alor Setar. It is a peaceful holiday retreat that should not to be missed by tourists visiting Kedah. Serenely nestled amidst lush tropical greens, the resort offers tourists “a back to nature” vacation. The Pedu Lake is ideal for jet skiing, canoeing and windsurfing. It also offers a newly found nature sport, lake swimming. Other outdoor activities that await visitors include jungle walks (which can be carried out in the day or night), mountain hiking, fishing and bird watching. Visitors can also take a boat ride and explore the vast lake or just enjoy the warm sunshine by the waters. Occasionally one can spot small animals in the surrounding jungle.

Empang Jaleh 恩邦加列

Empang Jaleh, a recreational lake in Kuala Lipis where visitors can relax. Here, one can trek along a mountainous jungle trail to Gunung Tahan (The highet peak in Peninsular Malaysia). Bukit Taching is an ideal bird sanctuary to while away the hours, while Terenggum Forest Park is another nature spot perfect for a leisurely holiday.

CAVES 岩洞

Deer Cave 鹿洞

The Deer Cave is named after the deer which frequented the cave and which native hunters pursued. It is large enough to hold London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral five times over and is believed to be the largest cave passage known to man.

There are two entrances at either side of the cave. Thousands of bats live in this cave, and the odour from their droppings (guano) is noticeable some distance away from the mouth of the cave. Other cave dwellers include swiftlets, earwigs, centipedes, spiders, crickets, scorpions and white crabs.

The silhouettes of some of the cave’s limestone formations have been creatively interpreted; notably the profile of Abraham Lincoln. Adam’s and Eve’s Showers, at the East End of the cave, are hollow stalactites; water pressure increases when it rains. This darker section at the East End of the Deer Cave is the preferred habitat of the naked bat. Albino earwigs live on the bats’ oily skin and regularly drop off.

The cave’s east entrance opens onto ‘The Garden of Eden’ – a luxuriant patch of jungle, which was once part of the cave system until the roof collapsed. The West End of the cave is home to several million wrinklelipped and horseshoes bats. Hundreds and thousands of these bats pour out of the cave at dusk. Bat hawks can often be seen swooping in for spectacular kills.

A three kilometre long walkway links the Deer Cave with the Park Headquarters. The walkway passes through virgin tropical forest where one can observe a huge variety of plants, orchids, insects, and other animals.

ISLANDS 岛屿

Pulau Pangkor 邦咯岛

Pulau Pangkor is the biggest of the nine islands found off the coast of Lumut. Its inhabitants are mainly involved in fishing and its related industries. Despite its small size, the facilities on this island are well developed and accommodation is convenient and fairly priced. Traveling around the island, one will find the historical Dutch Fort (Kota Belanda), the traditional Chinese architecture temple, the Miniature Great Wall and the Satay Factory. These are places of interests that one should not miss.

The Pasir Bogak Beach (the largest and most popular beach on Pulau Pangkor) along with its long stretch of crescent-shaped bay and abundant shady trees is an idyllic spot for picnic. Opposite Pulau Pangkor is Pangkor Laut Island. The most popular island resort in Perak, Pangkor Laut welcomes visitors with its serene, golden sandy beaches, crystal blue waters and cool, refreshing breezes. It is a popular venue for a wide range of water sports and fishing. Another nearby island, Pulau Sembilan, is a fishing haven frequented by anglers.

SABAH 沙巴

Pulau Tiga National Park 迪加岛公园

Three islands make up Pulau Tiga National Park, namely Pulau Tiga, Pulau Kalampunian Besar and Pulau Kalampunian Damit or better known as “Snake Island”. They were designated as forest reserve back in 1933 and finally gazetted as a park in 1978.

Pulau Tiga needs no introduction to ardent fans of “Survivor”, the reality-based television show. Sixteen Americans were marooned on Pulau Tiga in spring 2000 for 39 days in their quest to outlast one another and become the sole survivor to win one million US dollars. The TV show attracted millions of viewers throughout the world, making Pulau Tiga famous as “Survivor Island”. Months later, the island was again packed with television crew for the filming of the British version of “Survivor”. Many props used during the filming of the game show can still be seen at Pulau Tiga.

Although nature and recreational attractions are aplenty on the island, no trip to Pulau Tiga is complete without a dip in the mud volcanoes. Those who go jungle trekking at the various trails can see monitor lizards, macaque and proboscis monkeys, hornbills, sea eagles, and other flora and fauna.

迪加岛公园是由3个岛屿组成；即迪加岛、卡兰普年岛以及卡兰普年达米岛，或更称为‘蛇岛’。在1933年，这3个岛原本是被列为森林保护区，而在1978年正式宣布为森林公园。

However, shopping in Kuala Lumpur is not just restricted to airconditioned shopping malls, as there are also night markets, duty-free shops, hypermarkets, and flea markets that promise a bewildering range of goods that cater for every taste and budget.

For major discounts, promotions and great bargains, visitors must not miss the annual sales period in Malaysia. They include the month-long KL GP Sale in March, which is held in conjunction with the Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix; the Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival from May to August; and the Malaysia Year-End Sale in December.

Malaysia’s night markets and bazaars are certainly a major tourist attraction. Stocked with clothes, trinkets, fresh produce, household goods, souvenirs, food and lots more, they are the right places to make some cheap yet exciting purchases. Many of them stay open till midnight and bargaining is a must on any items you want to buy.

Central Market 中央艺术坊

Once the liveliest and busiest wholesale market in the city, the KL Central Market has been transformed into a cultural centre. Today, after renewal and restoration, a large part of the market is divided into cultural sections or “ethnic streets” – such as the Malay street, Chinese street and Indian street. Each street features its own cultural charms and uniqueness.

Although the market has changed, the architecture of the building remains unscathed by development and renovation. On selected days, local artistes gather here to exhibit their work and demonstrate their skills. One will be amazed by the talent and fine craftsmanship that exist in these artists. Seldom a visitor would leave without purchasing a souvenir or two. The many different Malaysian cuisines can also be found here.

The Central Market is one of the best places in the city to watch the variety of cultural performances of Malaysia. These performances include the traditional Malay and Indian dances and the Chinese Opera. The Central Market is indeed a colourful hub of cultural activities.

Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman 东姑阿都拉曼街

The pre-war shops here lie side-by-side with the new skyscrapers with contemporary architectural designs. Buyers of oriental antiques, curios and carpets will find the shops here charming and appealing. The shops along Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman are also famous for imported fabrics, batik sarongs, saris, ethnic goods from India, leather goods and clothes.

Chow Kit Market 秋杰市场

The Chow Kit Market is a labyrinth of stalls operated by Malay traders selling all kinds of foodstuff including vegetables, beef, mutton, and seafood. One can truly experience the atmosphere of a bazaar as one shops to the sounds of Malay music and the shouts of sellers. Local delicacies sold here include the popular nasi lemak and laksa Johor.

这里的小贩多为马来人，售卖蔬菜、牛肉、羊肉、粮食及海鲜的摊位将秋杰路塞得满满的。马来摇滚乐混合着小贩的吆喝声，充斥着整条街。这里也有摊位贩卖椰浆饭、柔佛叻沙等食物，让游客在逛街之余以饱口福。

Penang 槟城

Bargains, although common in smaller shops, are not practised in the malls and complexes. Here, the prices are fixed. Electrical items and other duty-free products such as cosmetics, lighters and pens can be purchased cheaply from the many duty free shops in Penang. Handicraft products from Thailand are also easily available in Penang.

Majority of the retail and trading shops are found along Penang Road and Campbell Road. One can find quite a number of antique (curio) shops distributed along Penang Road as well. Traditional Chinese medicine shops, on the other hand, are found mainly on Campbell Road and Chulia Street.

In addition, it is common to find wood carving products and bamboo (“rotan”) furniture in shops dealing in handicraft along Chulia Street. Products that are used for religious purposes: worshipping, handmade candles, and traditional cakes (“kuih-muih”) can easily be obtained along this street. The shops along Campbell Road offer a variety of handbags, shoes and other leather products.

Perlis 玻璃市

There are two main types of shopping bazaars in Perlis. The first is the agriculture markets. These markets are usually set up on Saturdays from 8am till 6pm. Farmers and fishermen sell a variety of fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, fish as well as non-agricultural goods.

The second is the night markets (or the pasar malam) that are also found in every nook and corner of Malaysia. The night markets are normally held in the evenings from 5pm till midnight. They offer a fiesta-like atmosphere and are usually organised on open ground or alongside roads that have been designated for them. The pasar malam is set up at different locations of the state each night of the week.

玻璃市的市集可分为两大类，第一类为每逢星期六上午八时至下午六时的农产品市集。这里的货品大都是渔夫直接提供，因此价钱廉宜合理。如果要选购新鲜的货物，这里是最适合不过。

The Bamboo Fort Bazaar is located at Jalan Padang Garong. This 3 level building is an excellent shopping mall for tourists to purchase souvenirs, silverware, textile, handicrafts and curios.

New Centre Market 新中央市集

Located along Jalan Pintu Pong, the New Centre Market is a shopping spot with its own distinct character. Majority of traders here are women. Tourists can find all kinds of mouth-watering delicacies, batik, handicraft and hand-made accessories.

Melaka 马六甲

Melaka is an antique shopper’s paradise. In Melaka, one can find all kinds of handicrafts, antiques, curios, and artefacts, including those of the Baba and Nyonya heritage. Along the beaches one can also easily find stalls selling handicrafts of Melaka. For those who enjoy shopping at night, pedestrian malls or night markets offer fascinating sights and sounds in addition to the myriad of items that are put on sale by the hawkers there. Melaka’s tourist market, situated at Sri Lanang, displays rare and beautiful handicrafts, souvenirs and antiques. In addition, one can also find batik, rotan (bamboo) baskets, and paintings here.

Pahang 彭亨

Souvenirs and traditional handicrafts are found at the stalls along the beach of Teluk Chempedak. Craft shops can be found at Medan Pelancong, Sungai Karang and Cherating. Visitors can view how batik, the unique wax-printed fabric, is made at Batik BM.

Pekan Sehari

It is a famous Sunday market in Temerloh. Visitors will find many local fruits, such as the durian, rambutan, duku, mata kuching and langsat when in season. There is also a wide variety of freshwater fish available here. The prices are indeed cheaper than the market downtown.

Sarawak 砂拉越

Fruits, vegetables, a myriad of local products, animals and rarely seen herbs are traded in the busy Sunday market located at Jalan Sintok. Tourists will be fascinated by the variety and quantity of items that are offered here. There are woodcarvings, potteries, beadworks, bamboo and rattan products, woven cloths, hats, baskets, and sleeping mats – all of which carry the distinctive designs peculiar to each ethnic group. One can also look for a pet here including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and tropical fish.

It is the oldest street in the city and the heart of old Kuching, located opposite of the Waterfront. It has some superb examples of Chinese shophouse architecture. Kuching’s highest concentrations of antique and handicraft shops can be found here, and shoppers can rest between bargaining sessions in a number of old-fashioned coffee shops.

It is located about 77km north east of Kota Kinabalu. Kota Belud is famous for its rural trade fair (locally known as “Tamu”) that comes to live every Sunday. The fair brings a carnival atmosphere to this small dainty town. This weekly affair brings the different tribes of the state together to socialise and trade. A “Tamu Besar” (grand trade fair) is held annually in the month of November. Visitors will be able to witness the Bajaus (known as the Cowboys of the East) who will don in their colourful traditional costumes and ride on horses.

Malaysia is a haven for free duty and duty free items. Free duty goods are imported goods that are not subject to custom duty at all and they are readily available all across Malaysia and not limited to duty free zones. Visitors are advised to check the duty free rules and regulations to ensure a stress-free departure at custom check-points when they leave the islands.

Labuan 纳闽

With its many duty free shops, Labuan is indeed a shopping paradise. The Lagenda, Labuan’s main commercial centre, and the Financial Park building, are both located along Jalan OKK Awang Besar. Products for sale include textiles, gemstones, perfumes, electrical products, exercise equipments, kitchen utensils, cosmetics, cigarettes and alcohol.

Songket 宋吉

Songket or silk brocade is a hand-woven traditional Malay fabric with gold and silver threads and worn mainly during official functions and ceremonies. Woven on a Malay frame loom, elaborate patterns are created by introducing extra gold or silver weft threads with the use of a flat needle.

宋吉布是一种马来手绣传统缝织品，将金和银螺纹缝织在布上并于主要官方职责和仪式期间佩戴。马来人使用马来框架织布机来缝织宋吉，精心制作的样式，由额外的金或银线穿线引线以对平的针或古巴来缝织。

The Shadow Play 皮影戏

Wayang kulit or shadow play is an old cultural entertainment using shadows cast by intricately carved puppets in relaying mythical parables of good versus evil. The shadow play has been popular in many oriental and Middle Eastern countries for more than a thousand years. In Malaysia, it is prominent in the state of Kelantan.

Batik 巴迪

Batik printing has its roots in the East Coast where batik makers practice the age-old traditions of batik painting by hand. Batik is created by four methods, namely block- printing, drawn free style, silkscreened, or tie-dyed. Batik fabrics are usually cotton and silk. Batik can be found as cloths, cushion covers, tablecloths, place mats or simply as works of art. Batik sarongs are usually a novelty with tourists.

Top Spinning 陀螺

Gasing or top spinning is a favourite traditional games in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia especially Kelantan and Terengganu. To play gasing, you need strength, coordination, and skill. The gasing, if expertly hurled, can spin for as long as 2 hours.

陀螺是马来半岛东海岸，特别是吉兰丹与登嘉楼广受喜爱的休闲游戏。玩陀螺需要力量、协调与技巧，方能令陀螺旋转在地。某些高手则可把玩陀螺旋转长达 2 个小时之久呢！

Bunga Malai 花圈装饰

Flowers form an integral part of the cultural heritage of Malaysian Indians for religious occasions, weddings, moving house, or welcoming an important guest. Flowers, holy basil, and the leaves of the margosa or mango tree are strung together to form a malai or garland. They are done in different styles to suit each particular occasion.

Wau 风筝

Majestic bird of the air, the kite or wau is an icon famous throughout the country of Kelantan and Terengganu. This unique designed Malayan kite is called “Wau” because the shape of its wing is similar to an Arabic letter (pronounced “wow”).

Woodcarvings 木雕

Delicate curlicues, paisley designed, floral motifs and strong bright colours can be found on the prows of the local boats, the doors, walls and windows of traditional Malay houses. Woodcarvings require a high degree of skill, patience and determination. In the cities, woodcarvings are still practiced on blocks of wood to be hung for wall decoration, on wall dividers, or on furniture.

Dragon Dance 舞龙

The dragon dance was started by the Chinese who had shown great belief and respect towards the dragon. It is an important item of the Chinese culture and tradition. It symbolises good luck and prosperity in the year to come for all human beings on earth. Dragon dance is a teamwork comprising over 68 persons and each section of the dragon must have at least 4 persons to take charge. The successful movements of the dance depend highly on the co-operation of every performer in the team and strict discipline. The dragon dance is a grand performance which usually attracts lots of spectators.

舞龙对信仰并尊崇“龙”的华族而言，是一项重要的文化传统活动。它象征着来年的好运与繁荣。舞龙的队伍多由 68 人组成，每节须有至少4人负责舞动，队员之间的团体精神以及纪律将是表演成败的要素。舞龙表演通常都吸引群众的围观。

Lion Dance 舞狮

The lion dance is a vigorous form of dance that is usually performed during Chinese New Year. The origins of the lion dance are linked closely to the origins of the Chinese New Year celebrations. It is said that in ancient times, a mythological creature known as Nian terrorised China and devoured its people on New Year’s Eve. Thus, in an attempt to frighten the beast, the villagers decided to mimic the lion by using lions made of cloth. The lion dance calls for perfect co-ordination, elegance and nerves of steel. The dance has also become a form of sports where dancers from all over the world compete to determine the best.

舞狮是一种多数在华人庆典中，如农历新年期间所呈现的传统表演艺术。它源于传说中，一只叫“年”的怪兽常在除夕夜出来危害人间，最后老百姓以炮竹及伪装的布狮子把它吓跑了，因此每年的农历新年人们都会舞狮以示庆祝。现今，舞狮已演变成一项需要高度配合、动作威武但高雅的运动。它已由民间活动提升为国际性的体育竞赛项目之一。

Sape 沙辟

The most typical of Sarawak musical instruments, the sape (pronounced “sa-peh”) is a traditional lute of the Orang Ulu community or “upriver people” of central Borneo. It is traditionally used by the Kenyahs, Kayans and Kelabit tribes. The sape was once played solely during healing ceremonies within the rumah panjang (longhouses), but gradually becomes a social instrument that is used as a form of entertainment.

沙辟是砂拉越最具代表性的乐器。它是婆罗州原住民的传统乐器，一般上为肯亚族、卡央族及克拉比族所使用。以往沙辟是在长屋内，在治疗仪式中被演奏，但后来渐渐演变为表演与娱乐的乐器。

Maggagong 铜锣

Brass or bronze gong ensembles form an inherent part of Sabah’s ethnic music. The melody varies from district to district. The Kadazan Dusun group includes six songs and a drum called the sopogogungan (Penampang) in their musical composition while the Bajau from Kota Belud add kulintangan, a set of kettle-bedded gongs.

Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls 海南鸡饭团
The Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls are a must-try for visitors to Melaka. Cooked in the shape and size of golf balls, the steaming hot fragrant rice is served with steamed chicken.

到马六甲一定要品尝独特的海南鸡饭团，一个个如乒乓球的饭团，再配以一碟麻油鸡，实在令人回味。

Satay 沙爹串
Satay is skewered meat barbecued over charcoal fire. It is usually eaten with a mildly spicy peanut sauce.

阵阵烘烤肉香味四溢的沙爹串，是独具马来风味的食物，让您垂涎三尺。

Bak Kut Teh 肉骨茶
The Bak Kut Teh is a dish where pork ribs stewed in herbal tea. A bowl of Bak Kut Teh taken with yam rice and fried wheat cake (yau char kuey), make a delectable meal.

您可以在巴生享受到闻名无比的真宗肉骨茶。一碗肉骨茶，再配以香喷喷的芋头饭和香脆的油条，将是一顿丰富美味的一餐。

Yong Tau Foo 酿豆腐
Yong Tau Foo is fish cakes stuffed in a variety of vegetables and bean curds. They always get thumbs-up from those who have tasted them.

酿豆腐是以鱼肉来酿制一些蔬菜如长豆、羊角豆和豆腐等的菜肴。清淡得来又鲜甜，一定让您回味无穷。

Prawn Mee 虾面
Prawn Mee is cooked in spicy soup that is blended with prawn extracts, thus adding taste to the noodles.

虾面是以虾的精华调拌油面烹调。味道鲜美、配上别具风味的特制辣椒酱更是令人赞不绝口。

Rojak 啰吔
Rojak is a mixture of different fruits, vegetables, cuttlefish and pounded groundnuts in a spicy sweet peanut sauce.

风味独特的啰吔是各种水果加上烫鱿鱼，然后再配上甜辣味的黑浆料搅拌而成。水果的清脆爽口、鱿鱼的鲜味、五味杂陈的滋味一起入口，令人回味无穷。

Asam Laksa 亚三叻沙
Asam Laksa is rice noodles served in spicy fish gravy with shredded cucumber and pineapple, as well as a spoonful of prawn paste. Many would rate it as the spicy dish to go for in Penang. Nevertheless, it can also be found almost everywhere in Malaysia.

亚三叻沙是米面的一种，以酸辣的高汤配上黄瓜丝和凤梨丝以及一小汤匙的鲜美虾膏，就是一碗美味的亚三叻沙了。当中以槟城的亚三叻沙最为好吃，不过全国各地都能随时尝到这小吃。

Char Koay Teow 炒条
Ingredients for “Char Koay Teow” include fresh prawns, cut Chinese sausages, sliced fish, egg, and clams. Those who love spicy food would request the cook to add in chilli paste during the frying process.

炒条的配料丰富如鲜虾、腊肠、鱼片、蛋、蚌类等，喜爱辣味的朋友更可要求加入辣椒酱拌炒，香辣的炒条就如此简单。

Otak-otak 乌达乌达
This is a dish of fish meat which has been blended with light spices and mixed with a herbal plant leaf to make a paste. The fish paste is wrapped in banana leaves and barbecued.

“乌达乌达” (Otak-otak) 是一种富有马来风味的食物，裹在香蕉叶的鱼肉在烤熟后，散发出阵阵香浓的味道，芬香好吃。

Keropok Lekor 炸鱼饼
Keropok Lekor, a kind of “fish biscuit” is Terengganu’s most famous snack. There are two types of keropok (fish biscuits) – the thicker one is called “Lekor” and the thinner one is “Keping”. Keropok is best eaten with a sauce made from spicy seasoning. The seasoning brings out the rich flavour of the fish.

炸鱼饼是登嘉楼的美味小食。这种鱼饼可分成两种，其中切成厚片的称“Lekor”，切成薄片的则称为“Keping”。当您吃炸鱼饼时，一定要拌着其特别泡制的辣椒调味料，才会更美味。

Roti Canai 印度煎饼
The local favourites Roti Canai was introduced by the Indian Muslim or mamak community in Malaysia. It is a griddle-fried layered pancake served with curry, dhall, or a meat dish such as chicken or mutton.

印度煎饼是马来西亚印度穆士林的食物。它主要由面粉、白糖、牛奶及鸡蛋制成，再加上技巧的拉打至扁平，然后以慢火煎熟就成。配上咖喱、鱼、鸡或羊肉都很美味。

Teh Tarik 拉茶
Teh tarik is a favourite drink among Malaysians. It is flavoured tea with milk.

Cendol 珍多
Cendol is Penang’s speciality where desert is concerned. It is made with shaved ice, green stripes of bean paste (chendol), coconut milk (santan), brown sugar and red beans.

珍多是槟城的特殊冰饮，以绿豆制成的粉条加上椰浆、糖水、红豆等，配上刨冰食用，让人爱不释手，是解暑的极品。

MALAYSIA – MY SECOND HOME PROGRAMME 马来西亚-您的第二个家园

MM2H programmed allows citizens of other countries who fulfill the relevant requirements to retire and reside in Malaysia with their spouses and children. Successful applicants are granted a multiple entry social visit pass for a period of 10 years, which is renewable subject to the validity period of their passports.

“马来西亚-您的第二个家园”计划，是一项让来自世界各国的人民，在符合一定的条件下，申请持有无限制出入境的社交签证。这张证件可以让外国籍的朋友们长期居留在马来西亚，而证件的有效居留期限为 10年， 10 年后可更新证件。

ELIGIBILITY 需符合之条件
It is open to all citizens of countries recognized by Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Applicants are allowed to bring along their spouse and children (below 18 years old who is not married).

不分种族、宗教、性别或年龄，公开给马来西亚承认的国家人民。这项计划允许申请者携带配偶及年龄低于 18 岁的未婚孩子。

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS 财政需求
(New Applicants 新的申请者)
Successful applicants required to comply with the following financial criteria upon receipt of the ‘conditional approval letter’ from Malaysia Immigration Department.
成功申请者 (2006年4月1日后) 必须符合以下的财政标准：

i) Aged Below 50 years old 年龄低于 50 岁者
• Open a fixed deposit account of RM300,000.
• After a period of one year, the participant can withdraw up to RM240,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
• Must maintain a minimum balance of RM60,000 from second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this programme

• 必须开设马币 RM300,000 的定期存款户口。
• 一年后，可以提出最多马币 RM240,000 供被批准的用费，包括购买房屋，孩子在马来西亚的教育费及供医药用途。
• 从第二年开始直到整个计划期间内，必须保存至少马币 RM60,000。

ii) Aged 50 years and above 年龄高于 50 岁者
• Can either choose to :
- Open a fixed deposit account of RM150,000 OR
- Show proof of monthly off-shore income of RM10,000 such as pension scheme.
• Participants who fulfills the fixed deposit criteria :
- May withdraw up to RM90,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes after a period of one year.
- Must maintain a minimum balance of RM60,000 from the second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this programme.

• 可以选择其一：
- 开设一个马币 RM150,000 的定期存款户口，或
- 证明拥有海外收入至少每月马币RM10,000，如退休金。
• 符合定期存款户口的参与者必须遵守：
- 一年后，可以提出最多马币RM90,000供被批准的用费，包括购买房屋，孩子在马来西亚的教育费及供医药用途。
- 从第二年开始直到整个计划期间内，必须保存至少马币 RM60,000。

Existing Participants 现有参与者
Existing participants will not be subject to the new financial requirements when they renew their stay in Malaysia under this programme. However, approvals for renewals are subject to the fulfillment of the conditions required by the Government of Malaysia.

Participants who complied with the earlier fixed deposit criteria are allowed after a one-year stay in Malaysia to withdraw part of their fixed deposit as follows:

现有参与者在更新他们的申请时，虽然不需要符合新的财务需求，但他们的更新申请还是必须要符合马来西亚政府所设定的条例。

ii) Participant and Spouse with a fixed deposit of RM150,000 :

• May withdraw up to RM90,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
• Must maintain a minimum balance of RM60,000 from second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this programme.

MEDICAL REPORT 医药报告
All applicants and their dependents (spouse and children) are required to submit a medical report from any private hospital / registered clinic in Malaysia.

Approved participants and dependents (spouse and children) must possess a valid medical insurance policy which is applicable in Malaysia.

House Purchase 购买房屋
Each participant is allowed to purchase up to two units of residential houses at a minimum price of RM250,000 each in all states, except Sarawak which remains at RM350,000. Generally the minimum price for the purchase of houses in Malaysia is as follows :
1) RM350,000 each for certain areas in the state of Sarawak
2) RM250,000 for other states

每一位参与者都被允许购买两所房屋，每所最低价格为马币RM250,000的住宅房屋，视产业的地点而定。基本上，在马来西亚购买房屋的最低价格定于：

2) 其他州属，每所房屋马币 RM250,000 或以上。

Car Purchase 购买汽车
Each participant is allowed to bring in his/her own personal car OR to purchase a locally-assembled car without the need to pay import duty, excise duty and sales tax.

‘Personal Car’ is referred to a car which was purchased by participant before joining the MM2H programme. Participants must apply for prior approval within the time period given, to the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of International Trade and Industry before bringing in a personal car from their country of residence or buying a locally assembled car in Malaysia.

每一位参与者都可以引入他们自己的私人汽车或购买本地装备的汽车，而无须缴付入口关税，消费税及销售税。

Domestic Helper 聘请佣人
Each applicant is allowed to apply for one maid subject to the prevailing guidelines of the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

每位参与者都可以申请聘用一名佣人，然而必须符合马来西亚移民厅的条例与指南。

Education 教育
Applicants are allowed to bring their children who under 18 years old and not married as their dependants under this programme. Children who intend to continue their schooling in Malaysia are required to apply for a Student Pass and should be insured throughout their stay under this programme.

Please refer to the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia’s website (http://www.mohe.gov.my) for a complete list of all private institutions of learning in this country and to the Malaysia My Second Home website (http://mm2h.gov.my) – ‘Incentives and Others’ section on Registering Children in Private Colleges and Universities.

Tax 税务
Participants are bound by the policies, systems and regulations of taxes of this country and they do not have exemption qualifications as granted to Diplomatic Missions in Malaysia. However, tax exemption is given to pension remitted into Malaysia. Participants are required to obtain the endorsement from the Authorities in their country of origin as to the total amount of yearly pension received. A copy of this letter has to be submitted in their application.

参与者必须依照这个国家的税务政策、系统及条例。他们不能享有如同外交使节团的免税资格。无论如何，汇入马来西亚的退休金将获得免税。参与者必须向他们居住国家的有关当局获取相关的认可文件，以列明每年退休金的总数。申请免税时必须附上这份文件。

AUTHORISED COMPANIES 授权代理公司

All Malaysian companies which intend to offer their services to foreigners who are interested to participant in Malaysia My Second Home Programme as well as to promote and market this programme in foreign countries are invited to apply to the Ministry of Tourism to be licensed. These include `sponsor companies’ who were previously registered with the Immigration Department for this programme.

有意提供服务给外国人以申请加入马来西亚，您的第二个家园计划的马来西亚公司可以向旅游局申请必须的准证。

APPLICATION/EXTENSION/TERMINATION 申请 / 延长 / 终止

New Applications 新的申请
All applicants who wish to apply to stay in Malaysia under the Malaysia My Second Home Programme must submit the following documents :
1) Letter of Application (Cover Letter)
- Personal background and indicate your intention to join Malaysia My Second Home
- Persons whom you wish to come with ( single or with family)
- Briefly explain how you will support your stay in Malaysia (financial capabilities)
- Which financial criteria you wish to use ; either Fixed Deposit or monthly off-shore income (for 50 years and above)
2) Two (2) copies of Form IM.12 (Social Visit Pass Form)
3) Two (2) passport-sized photographs
4) A certified copy of Passport / travel document (all pages)

This applies to those who did not receive the full duration of the 10-year Visa because of the short validity period of their passport at the time of approval and would like to receive the remaining period upon the issuance of a new passport.

Medical and healthcare facilities are widely available in Malaysia. The country has become a centre of medical excellence because of its high quality and affordable
state-of-the-art medical facilities and services along with highly trained and qualified medical specialists. Its network of private hospitals offer comprehensive services in virtually all medical disciplines.

In addition to providing diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, these hospitals have full facilities including accident and emergency services, ambulance services,
intensive care units, cardiac care units, operating theatres, maternity wards, and medical and surgical wards. The country is further supported by world-class infrastructure including international airports and hotels.

In Malaysia, all private medical centers are approved and licensed by the Ministry of Health (dental healthcare, meanwhile, is governed by the Malaysian Dental Council to ensure top-rate dental facilities and services are provided to patients). The private medical centers are outfitted to handle the administrative tasks related to foreign patients. Many even set up specialized service counters to assist them.

The Ministry of Health has currently identified 35 private hospitals nationwide that have met the criteria required to be recognized as providers of health tourism. The 35 private hospitals recognized and identified by the government promote Malaysia as a health tourism destination. These hospitals have achieved certification for internationally recognized standards such as MS 9002 or accreditation by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health.

There are over 200 private medical centres in Malaysia. Many are located in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Penang. Malaysia is set to be a popular health destination because tourists find it easy and comfortable in terms of blending into Malaysian culture due to the warm and friendly people.

Jungle Trekking 丛林徒步
Malaysia is home to million-year-old rainforest that are waiting to be explored. From the primordial rainforest of Taman Negara to the wildlife sanctuaries at Danum Valley and the Kinabatangan floodplains, some of Asia’s bestpreserved environments offer nature lovers a wealth of experience.

Jungle trekking can take from a mere one hour to days. In Peninsular Malaysia, the best time to go trekking is during the dry season which is from March to September when rainfall is less. In the states of Sabah and Sarawak, the wet season is from July to October.

In certain areas, jungle trekking can be combined with other activities such as river expeditions. Camping is also possible as most National Parks in Malaysia provide jungle camping facilities. Many mountain and beach sites are also suitable for camping. Always check with relevant Park authorities regarding the weather conditions prior to picking a campsite.

Among the favourite sites for nature and jungle adventures are Taman Negara (National Park) in Pahang, Endau Rompin in Johor, Ulu Bendol in Negeri Sembilan, Bako National Park and Mulu National Park in Sarawak, and Danum Valley and Kinabalu Park in Sabah.

Cave Exploration 洞穴探险
Malaysia has numerous limestone caves including a World Heritage Site that are waiting to be explored. They are home to an amazing proliferation of wildlife and attractive formation of stalagmites and stalactites. The caves in the country come in various levels of accessibility. Some have walkways which make it easy to walk around, while others require visitors to rough it out and even crawl on all fours. Basically, show caves are those for public visit, with lights and clearly marked paths, while adventure caves remain close to their natural state.

Among the popular caves are Gua Tempurung in Perak, Gua Kelam in Perlis, Batu Caves in Selangor, Gua Telinga in Pahang, Gua Gomantong in Sabah, as well as Gua Niah and all the caves in Mulu National Park in Sarawak.

Diving 潜水
Malaysia is a haven for divers as it is blessed with numerous beautiful dive sites and marine parks. With over 50 genera of coral and more than 200 species of fish supported by the coral reef ecosystem, it is no wonder Malaysia is fast becoming one of the leading dive destinations in the world.

From hammerhead sharks, huge schools of barracudas and various turtles to the bizarre frogfish or ghost pipefish, there is always something to fascinate every diver.

Notable dive sites in Peninsular Malaysia include Pulau Redang, Pulau Tioman and Pulau Perhentian. Another must-visit diving spot is Pulau Sipadan in Sabah, the world-renowned diving destination which offers amazing sights of turtles, reef sharks and a 680-meter deep drop-off. Similarly, nearby Mabul also attracts naturalists and photographers with its wealth of macro life.

Dive centres in Malaysia are well-equipped and certified by relevant agencies for maintaining their standards of safety and professionalism. Scuba diving courses are endorsed by certifying agencies including PADI and NAUI. Almost all the islands in Malaysia cater for divers of all levels of experience – be it easy shore diving to advance wreck or technical diving.
