This famous Malay dish is one of the favourite food among Malaysians. It is normally eaten during breakfast. Nasi lemak is a spicy and fragrant meal of rice steamed in coconut milk served with a selection of curried chicken, cucumber, fried anchovies and sambal.

Rojak is a mixture of different fruits, vegetables, cuttlefish and pounded groundnuts in a spicy sweet peanut sauce.

Asam Laksa 亚三叻沙
Asam Laksa is rice noodles served in spicy fish gravy with shredded cucumber and pineapple, as well as a spoonful of prawn paste. Many would rate it as the spicy dish to go for in Penang. Nevertheless, it can also be found almost everywhere in Malaysia.

亚三叻沙是米面的一种,以酸辣的高汤配上黄瓜丝和凤梨丝以及一小汤匙的鲜美虾膏,就是一碗美味的亚三叻沙了。当中以槟城的亚三叻沙最为好吃,不过全国各地都能随时尝到这小吃。

Char Koay Teow 炒条
Ingredients for “Char Koay Teow” include fresh prawns, cut Chinese sausages, sliced fish, egg, and clams. Those who love spicy food would request the cook to add in chilli paste during the frying process.

炒条的配料丰富如鲜虾、腊肠、鱼片、蛋、蚌类等,喜爱辣味的朋友更可要求加入辣椒酱拌炒,香辣的炒条就如此简单。

Otak-otak 乌达乌达
This is a dish of fish meat which has been blended with light spices and mixed with a herbal plant leaf to make a paste. The fish paste is wrapped in banana leaves and barbecued.

“乌达乌达” (Otak-otak) 是一种富有马来风味的食物,裹在香蕉叶的鱼肉在烤熟后,散发出阵阵香浓的味道,芬香好吃。

Keropok Lekor 炸鱼饼
Keropok Lekor, a kind of “fish biscuit” is Terengganu’s most famous snack. There are two types of keropok (fish biscuits) – the thicker one is called “Lekor” and the thinner one is “Keping”. Keropok is best eaten with a sauce made from spicy seasoning. The seasoning brings out the rich flavour of the fish.

炸鱼饼是登嘉楼的美味小食。这种鱼饼可分成两种,其中切成厚片的称“Lekor”,切成薄片的则称为“Keping”。当您吃炸鱼饼时,一定要拌着其特别泡制的辣椒调味料,才会更美味。

Roti Canai 印度煎饼
The local favourites Roti Canai was introduced by the Indian Muslim or mamak community in Malaysia. It is a griddle-fried layered pancake served with curry, dhall, or a meat dish such as chicken or mutton.

印度煎饼是马来西亚印度穆士林的食物。它主要由面粉、白糖、牛奶及鸡蛋制成,再加上技巧的拉打至扁平,然后以慢火煎熟就成。配上咖喱、鱼、鸡或羊肉都很美味。

Teh tarik is a favourite drink among Malaysians. It is flavoured tea with milk.

拉茶是一种在马来西亚备受欢迎的饮料。它主要由西洋茶及炼奶混合而成。

Cendol 珍多
Cendol is Penang’s speciality where desert is concerned. It is made with shaved ice, green stripes of bean paste (chendol), coconut milk (santan), brown sugar and red beans.

珍多是槟城的特殊冰饮,以绿豆制成的粉条加上椰浆、糖水、红豆等,配上刨冰食用,让人爱不释手,是解暑的极品。
